This handbook is intended to guide English language students of the upper grades (according to the European Framework of Reference at the levels of B1 - B2+) through a variety of chapters about American history and culture. In parts, it contains materials to help them to prepare for their school-leaving exams in English, including not only reading and listening tasks but also language in use and speaking exercises.
